The reason for the caps is my barely able to be contained excitement!

58 days until the big day and I am sooo close to being all ready for it. We just this week finished paying off a bunch the big and little stuff. The stress release of paying some of those bills down has left a lot of room for being Giddy.

Spent the weekend in Vancouver last weekend with some amazing friends and family. Brenna was fantastic enough not only to come to Port Moody with me to see the reception venue, but she also gave me some FANTASTIC idea’s for set-up and seating etc.

Then I got to hang out with my almost cousin Meghan for lunch and some girl talk. She has also been incredibly helpful, by picking up our liquor license and insurance this weekend (SUCH an important task!!!)

Not to mention both these fantastic women are road tripping four hours to join in the festivities that will my bachelorette party!! <3

Also got to meet Julie Brown from www.letsfaceitbeauty.ca who was willing to go through some idea’s with me for hair and makeup. What a wonderful lady! And soo much talent!

Now its just a matter of getting my hands on some final decorations. My friend Brittany has been working tirelessly amoungst the million other things on her plate to make some decorations for me. One of the best/craftiest (in a good way) people I have ever met. This girl has some major talent too!

Sean has met with the priest to tie up some loose ends in the form of paper work. It seems to be one flaming-hoop-over-a-piranha-tank after another with the church, but it’s all worth it. Thank god for Sean’s ability to remain cool and collected and just get things done. With out him I think I would have flown to an exotic country in the throws of a mental breakdown weeks ago.

And probably most exciting of all I just this morning booked a limo to pick us up from Port Moody and take everyone who is staying till the better end back to the hotel!

There are still two hotel rooms available so PLEASE email or facebook me if you need one! Can’t wait to see you all there

<3

Yikes!!! Its January 30th already!! I can’t believe how incredibly busy and fast this month has been. So here is the update!

Life wise: Sean recently incorporated and has plans to open the doors to his downtown office by early February. Plus he got a fancy sticker for his car that lets him park everywhere with no tickets!! Lucky! Him and Ramsey have been working like madmen this past month, and they just keep getting busier!

Just before Christmas I re-enrolled in school, and was offered a part time position with the Therapy Centre until the end of May. I have been working 7 days a week ( save the few sick days with the kids) and doing faaaar too much homework for my liking. My courses should be finished in April, or before depending on how much I slack and then I will be spending my spare time cleaning and wedding planning. Yipper

Wedding wise: We just got out invitations delivered Friday, keep your eyes on you mail!!! I ordered my wedding dress Thursday, and have sent my best friend on an Ikea mission to find me some candle holders! Pretty much all of the idea’s are solidified- now comes the fun part of paying for everything!

Ive even managed to find the exact bouquets I want on a Martha Stewart site and am debating just buying a bucket load of plants this spring so I dont have to pay a florist $254 for a single bouquet ( are you KIDDING me?!?! That is just stupid)

As time nears closer to the big day I will be posting maps, locations, and hotel information. Please Please please let me know if you are needing accomodations. Its a Saturday in peak vacation Season and i don’t want anyone to be stuck!!

OOh and when I get home from work ( at 7:00am) I get to go to a bridal fair and enter to win a whole bunch of cool prizes. One of my great friends recently proposed to his girlfriend who will be there too and I am looking forward to the experience of feeling like a bride. Thank good for good friends!

My next mission ( should the universe grant me enough time to accept it) is to find Sean a wedding band. Im going to get one later as I already have a gorgeous band from Sean that fits the bill perfectly!

And thats about all. I should get back to cleaning at work, next shift starts in an hour and a bit and if i don’t get off my butt now it may not happen.

Well, the caterer is paid, and all is well this chilly day in November up in Kamloops.

A lot is happening up here at the moment, we’re getting the in-law suite ready for occupation at the end of this month and installing two new windows to battle the winter drafts (this being after the front door when we moved in, and the remounting of all newer windows installed by the previous owner – horrible job). I swear, only I would get the great idea of installing new windows while it’s -10 outside. Here’s hoping we can get the attic insulation taken care of quickly as well.

The family bathroom has been in the “almost” done stage for about 3 months with some casing, painting and a new door awaiting both the purchase of and installation. The tile job my buddy Justin at “Stone Solid Tile” did after I had to give up from not having enough time to complete is amazing – I know because Sarah said so

Also in big news! We are about a month away (i hope) from opening our first (AI) store in town, we’ve secured the lease on 850 sqft of great space for our first technology office and it looks like reno’s start next week. I will post our address and pictures in the coming weeks but this is what the Kamloops and BC Interior locals can expect from us – had to tell the family first

MEN ARE JUST HAPPIER PEOPLE…..

NICKNAMES

If Laura, Kate and Sarah go out for lunch, they will call each other Laura, Kate and Sarah.

If Mike, Dave and John go out, they will affectionately refer to each other as Fat Boy, Dickhead and Shit for Brains.

EATING OUT

When the bill arrives, Mike, Dave and John will each throw in $20, even though it’s only for $32.50. None of them will have anything smaller and none will actually admit they want change back.

When the girls get their bill, out come the pocket calculators.

MONEY

A man will pay $2 for a $1 item he needs.

A woman will pay $1 for a $2 item that she doesn’t need but is on sale.

BATHROOMS

A man has six items in his bathroom: toothbrush and toothpaste, shaving cream, razor, a bar of soap, and a towel .

The average number of items in the typical woman’s bathroom is 337. A man would not be able to identify more than 20 of these items.

ARGUMENTS

A woman has the last word in any argument.

Anything a man says after that, is the beginning of a new argument.

FUTURE

A woman worries about the future until she gets a husband.

A man never worries about the future until he gets a wife.

SUCCESS

A successful man is one who makes more money than his wife can spend.

A successful woman is one who can find such a man.

MARRIAGE

A woman marries a man expecting he will change, but he doesn’t.

A man marries a woman expecting that she won’t change, but she does.

DRESSING UP

A woman will dress up to go shopping, water the plants, answer the phone, read a book, and get the mail.

A man will dress up for weddings and funerals.

NATURAL

Men wake up as good-looking as they went to bed.

Women somehow deteriorate during the night.

OFFSPRING

Ah, children. A woman knows all about her children. She knows about dentist appointments and romances, best friends, favorite foods, secret fears and hopes and dreams.

A man is vaguely aware of some short people living in the house.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

A married man should forget his mistakes. There’s no use in two people remembering the same thing!
